Dedicated Vs Hosted
If your business (or site) has a small number of extensions (10 or less) one of the decisions you have to make if you want a VoIP solution is whether to have a hosted solution or a your own system on your site.
Hosted solutions typically let you have just extensions onsite and all the features and calls are routed through a central system operated by the provider. Typically the provider will charge a monthly fee per extension and the hosting provider will also provide you with your calls.
There are a number of problems with this traditional hosted model in that :-
Most providers charge extra for each additional feature and system change and
You are tied to the call rates of the hosting provider which may not be that cheap.
Alternatively, you can have your own VoIP server on site and have control of your system and costs. However, the initial investment can be off putting to smaller businesses
OCM have 2 unique approaches that give you the best of both worlds.
For businesses with 10 users or less we can implement a Virtual VoIP phone system on our infrastructure in a data centre. You have your own dedicated platform with all the features you require and the freedom to change as much as you like. In addition we will assist you in choosing your own call providers and administer everything through a web browser. We charge a fixed monthly fee.
For larger businesses we can supply your own hardware on your site and you simply rent it.
